Thanksgiving Rolls & Last Minute Scrolls

I read a quote the other day that really stopped me in my tracks and made me think. The quote by Tim Keller read,

“It’s one thing to be grateful. It’s another to give thanks. Gratitude is what you feel. Thanksgiving is what you do.”

Even though every Thanksgiving we make sure our menus are right and our table has all the place settings, I am reminded that there is so much to FEEL gratitude for, even in the midst of this wild, out of our control year. I’m thankful for His faithfulness, for my family, for health, for medical professionals who endlessly give, for the ability to mother, for the blessing of being a wife and for all the little things that have given me comfort throughout the year.

The thankfulness and act of gratitude is really what is important this season. I hope you can reflect on some of the good things that have made your heart happy lately. In the midst of life I hope this little amazon round up of last minute Thanksgiving tools you may need can help make your life easier so you can enjoy all the blessings around you. I always am needing something last minute and if you need any of these tools they’re all linked to amazon. This way you can get them to your home before Thanksgiving and continue to be with your loved ones. Also, my favorite dinner roll recipe to follow these links that everyone at your Thanksgiving table will love!

Okay, onto the ROLLS! I raved about these over on my Instagram stories but I will say it again, these are such a crowd pleaser! They are a touch different than your traditional Thanksgiving crescent or dinner roll. The flavor of the rosemary definitely adds to your Thanksgiving plate. People will be asking you for the recipe. Even if you don’t use them on Thanksgiving we like to make them with steak dinner or a chili/soup night! Here the details, I added a few extra pictures so keep scrolling for directions:

Ingredients:
Rhodes Rolls or store brand frozen dinner rolls
Melted Butter (you’ll have to kind of eye it depending on how many you make)
Chopped Rosemary
Sea Salt

Directions & Tips:
Place dinner rolls in cast iron skillet or baking sheet (depending on how many you’re making for. I usually make about 7-8 in my cast iron but if you’re making for a large crowd just space them out on a baking sheet or double up on your cast irons if you have multiple) and let rise for 3-4 hours until doubled in size.

Once doubled in size melt enough butter to pour over each roll and top each roll with rosemary and sea salt

Bake in oven at 350 for 15-17 minutes or at 400 for 10 minutes. I baked mine pictured at 400 and set my timer for 14 minutes but took them out at 10 minutes because they were golden! So, PLEASE watch them very carefully towards the end. They were perfect, golden and still so soft! Enjoy, I hope you feel lots of gratitude this Thanksgiving.
