Today I enter a new decade, my thirties! I have to say that I have had the best 20s! I have been given so many blessings these past ten years and have been given great opportunities during my 20s. I have just loved them. It is a little bittersweet leaving this decade that has brought me so much happiness but I know my thirties will bring me so much joy.
A lot of things happened in my twenties! I first moved across the country from Arizona to New York. I’d grown up in Arizona and moved right before I turned 20. I graduated from college in New York. Then, met my sweet husband when I was 22 in a church pew and it was love at first sight. We got engaged on my 23rd birthday! We got married 5 months later. Moved back to Arizona. Started my first teaching job. Built our first home. Got pregnant and had our sweet baby girl Jae. Became a mother. Experienced loving someone more than you could ever imagine. We lived in Arizona for about 5 years. Moved to Nashville,TN. Lived in a downtown high rise. Listened to my heart and realized Nashville wasn’t home. Found our perfect home and city in Indiana and couldn’t love it more! The Lord has truly blessed me and I couldn’t be more thankful for all the little moments in-between in my 20s.
I feel so thankful on how I am entering my 30s. I feel confident in my skin. I have found my roles as a wife and mother and they bring me so much joy. I am grateful that the Lord has stretched me and molded me into who I am today and the comfort I feel. The best part, is that no matter the decade, the Lord will always walk by my side.
Going through my 20s I have loved to learn my favorite things and the things that bring me joy. I wanted to share some of these with you if they bring you joy or create experiences that bring joy- ie: my kitchen aid mixer has had many moment of my daughter and I making cookies, my coffee maker that we love to experiment different roasts with, my shower steamers that relieve a long day and the mama ring I’ll always treasure 🙂
