My Favorite Pizza Dough

Fun fact about me: I love making things homemade. I love mixing, measuring, sifting and kneading. I love the directions, the rising, the cooling and the partaking. But, being a mom to a 6 month old, I’m not able to spend as much time in the kitchen as I would like. Thankfully I’ve found a few short cuts that still give me the same result when I don’t have as much time for the rising and the kneading.

I love making homemade pizza for my husband, but the process of pizza can be so long! Usually you have to use prepare ahead of time, use yeast and let your dough rise for a few hours. I used to make my dough this way until I met self rising flour and I could still make homemade pizza without waiting hours!

This is a super easy recipe and only takes about 30 minutes to do! The self rising flour is literally a life saver! At first I was afraid of the Greek yogurt in the dough, I mean who puts yogurt in pizza dough, but it makes the dough so delicious! The dough has great flavor with the garlic and Italian seasoning mixed in! I love making it when we are watching a sporting event or a good movie! Since we had our little one we have to be creative and do date nights at home and this pizza is so fun to make for a relaxing date night.

Ingredients

3 cups self rising flour

2 cups Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon garlic

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Directions

Add all ingredients together.

Mix well until combined.

Roll pizza dough out to fit into your cookie sheet.

Add sauce, cheese and your toppings.

Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes!
**I like to use my kitchen aide mixer and mix the dough together then use my dough hook for about 2 minutes. If you don’t have a kitchen aide mixer you can just mixed until formed and combined.

Enjoy!
